Why Does Gel Polish Peel Off in One Piece?
If gel polish peels off in one piece, do not assume the base is faulty—or that the client needs a stronger primer. The useful starting point is to identify what separated from what, then review the service in order.
Look at the detached coating
Did the entire system release from the natural nail, or did one layer separate from another? Is there retained base on the nail? Photograph the area before removal where appropriate, without pulling the coating away to investigate.
That distinction helps technical support understand whether to focus on the natural-nail interface or the connection between product layers.
Reconstruct the appointment
- What coating was present before this service?
- Which cleanser, dehydrator, and primer were used?
- What was the exact base and color sequence?
- Were layers applied within the product’s guidance?
- Which lamp, mode, and curing times were used?
Also record when lifting appeared and whether several clients were affected. One client and one finger suggest a different investigation from several appointments after the same product or lamp change.
Correct the cause, not just the symptom
LiNTO’s protocols distinguish between bases used mainly as foundations and materials used for leveling. They also account for previous acidic systems. Replacing one bottle without checking that context may not resolve the issue.
Do not cover or glue down lifted areas. Arrange a professional assessment and appropriate removal. If there is pain, irritation, discoloration, or separation of the natural nail, pause cosmetic treatment and recommend healthcare advice rather than another adhesion experiment.
