TOP GLOSS or REPAIR TOP: Choosing Your LiNTO Finish

TOP GLOSS and REPAIR TOP both provide a glossy finish, but they are not simply two names for the same service choice. Look at the coating underneath and whether you are working on hands or feet before choosing.

TOP GLOSS: a flexible wet-look finish

TOP GLOSS is a no-wipe top with a medium-thick consistency and a wet-look gloss. LiNTO describes it as more flexible than REPAIR TOP and suitable for finishing designs such as stamping and sliders within the appropriate system.

It can be used in manicure and pedicure protocols where specified. For a dedicated thin pedicure system, also consider the role of PODO TOP rather than choosing only by gloss.

REPAIR TOP: gloss for manicure systems

REPAIR TOP was introduced alongside the hard-gel range but is also suitable for gel-polish systems. It is a medium-thick, no-wipe top with a glass-like glossy finish.

LiNTO does not recommend REPAIR TOP for pedicures. Its compatibility with both gel and gel polish on hands should not be extended into a claim that it belongs in every service.

Application still matters

  • Apply the selected top thinly as directed.
  • Keep it away from surrounding skin.
  • Use the specified compatible lamp and full curing schedule.
  • Follow the surface-preparation instructions before any second coat.

The decision is not which top is “better.” It is which one provides the right finishing behavior for the chosen coating and service. Select the system first, then the gloss you want to create.
