Can You Use a Manicure Top Coat for a Pedicure?
Some LiNTO tops can be used in both manicure and pedicure protocols, while others should not be transferred between the two. A product being glossy or no-wipe is not enough information to decide.
PODO TOP: the dedicated thin option
PODO TOP was designed for pedicure coatings. It is fluid, flexible, and no-wipe, helping the system stay thin without unnecessary volume. It is the natural finishing choice within the PODO BASE and PODO BASE ON-LIGHT protocols.
Apply it as directed over the appropriate cured base or color, rather than using extra top to create structure.
Where other tops differ
LiNTO guidance allows TOP GLOSS in manicure and pedicure services where the protocol specifies it. It has a medium-thick consistency and a flexible wet-look finish.
REPAIR TOP is different: LiNTO does not recommend it for pedicures. Its suitability over both hard gel and gel polish in manicures does not make it universal.
Choose by service, not by shelf position
- Check the exact product and current intended-use instructions.
- Consider the complete base-color-top system.
- Keep the pedicure coating thin.
- Use the specified lamp and curing schedule.
If you are introducing a top from another routine, confirm compatibility before using it on clients. The question is not whether the finish looks attractive immediately after curing. It is whether the material and its application belong in the planned pedicure service.
