BASE CORRECTOR: The Manicure That Still Looks Like Your Nails
Some clients do not want their manicure to announce itself. They want their nails to look neat, softly even, and recognizably their own. LiNTO BASE CORRECTOR was created for that “manicure without manicure” effect.
Sheer coverage, not a completely opaque canvas
BASE CORRECTOR is a range of translucent base coatings. The natural nail remains part of the finished look, so the same shade can appear different from one client to another.
Discuss that before application. A client asking for a barely-there tint and a client wanting full camouflage may point to similar photographs while expecting different coverage.
Build the finish deliberately
Follow the product’s preparation and adhesion protocol, then apply a thin layer and cure. Where appropriate, a second layer with slight leveling can increase color intensity before the top coat.
In LiNTO’s guidance, BASE CORRECTOR is flexible in a thin layer and firmer in a leveling layer. That does not remove the need to assess nail length and service requirements.
Choose the shade on the client
- Compare a swatch with the client’s skin tone.
- Discuss how much natural free edge should remain visible.
- Check the shade in consistent light.
- Explain that an extra layer changes coverage.
If moving from acidic materials, use the appropriate transition protocol rather than treating BASE CORRECTOR as an automatic direct replacement. The most convincing natural manicure comes from a thoughtful consultation and controlled application—not from hiding the nail under more product.
