Why a Pedicure Needs Its Own Base and Top
A pedicure coating should not automatically copy a manicure overlay. LiNTO PODO BASE and PODO TOP were developed for thin application on toenails, with flexibility and a low-volume finish as key priorities.
Different service, different material choices
A product that is useful for building or strengthening a manicure may create a coating that is unnecessary for the planned pedicure. The correct question is not whether you can spread it over a toenail, but whether it belongs in that service.
PODO BASE is fluid and flexible. PODO TOP is also fluid, flexible, and no-wipe. Together, they are intended to keep the coating thin rather than create a built apex or substantial overlay.
Keep the sequence deliberate
Follow the PODO preparation protocol, including the specified adhesion step and DEHYDRATOR where needed. Apply PODO BASE thinly without the rubbing application that can remove too much material onto the brush.
Add a compatible color if desired, cure each required layer, and finish with PODO TOP according to the current instructions.
Assessment comes before coating
- Check the condition of the nail and surrounding skin.
- Ask about discomfort and any unexplained changes.
- Do not build extra volume to disguise an unsuitable nail.
- Refer concerns that fall outside a cosmetic service.
A thin coating is not a guarantee that every toenail is suitable for gel polish. The advantage of a dedicated pedicure system is that its materials and instructions are aligned with the intended service—not that assessment becomes optional.
