Pedicure Coating Peeling Off in Sheets: What to Review
When a pedicure coating comes away in a sheet, start by reviewing the complete appointment. The appearance of the detached coating is a clue, not proof that the base, primer, or client’s nail is solely responsible.
Identify what separated
Did the coating release from the natural nail, or did the color and top separate from a retained base? Record what you can see before professional removal, without peeling the material away to inspect it.
Ask when the issue began, which nails were affected, and whether the client noticed discomfort. Pain or an unexplained nail change is a reason to pause coating and recommend appropriate assessment.
Check the PODO details
- Was the surface properly prepared and cleansed?
- Was moisture management appropriate?
- Was the specified adhesion product applied correctly?
- Was PODO BASE thinly placed rather than rubbed almost away?
- Was the coating kept free of skin contact?
- Were all layers cured in the specified compatible lamp?
Also review the previous coating and any changes in products or equipment. Do not assume that every pedicure requires the same transition approach as a manicure.
Do not solve it with more volume
PODO BASE is designed for thin application. A thick leveling layer is not an appropriate general response to lifting.
Address detached material rather than covering it, and send your product sequence, lamp details, timing, and photographs to LiNTO technical support. A documented service review gives you a better chance of finding a repeatable correction than changing several steps at once.
